QPR Training (Mines Students)

This is a 90 minute training offered at no cost to participants. Must be a current Colorado School of Mines student and pre-registration is required for this event (register below). There is a maximum of 35 participants, so early registration is highly recommended. Snacks will be provided.
QPR Training is the most widely taught suicide prevention gatekeeper training in the world. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Those who attend will learn to:
